Andres Alejandro Aceves

I am a Mexican Ecuadorian ceramic artist from Brownsville, Texas now based in Austin. I create balanced, symmetrical forms that highlight the natural rhythm of the potter's wheel.

By chattering and trimming, I add textured patterns that bring a sense of motion to the surface and invite touch. Paired with earth-toned glazes, these textures create a quiet connection to the natural world.

Beyond the studio, my practice extends into community engagement through educational workshops, volunteer work and collaborations with organizations that support and expand access to the ceramic arts.
