Ayse Iyriboz and Hillary Bilheimer

Ayse Iyriboz and Hillary Bilheimer are Two Birds Studio in Hyde Park. Friends for over fifteen years, they have always created things together. Ayse has a university background in ceramics and Hillary is self-taught. They began designing and making lighting together out of their ceramic shapes several years ago and started Two Birds in earnest in 2025. Seeking to create thoughtful, useful objects for your home and life, they enjoy creating things that exhibit regular irregularity or what they call Wabi Geometry - the idea that things made by human hands can never be too perfect or you lose the sight of the human hand that created it. That said, they do often (foolishly?) try for perfection regardless, strive for patience every day and often (often!) question why they have chosen ceramics as their medium.
