Catherine Steele

Catherine Steele is a Texas-based ceramic artist whose work is rooted in color, memory, and everyday moments. Drawing inspiration from her own film photography, she translates fleeting scenes—soft desert light, saturated sunsets, and playful color contrasts—onto clay. Each piece becomes a tactile extension of those images, like holding a moment in your hands.
When she’s not in the studio, she’s often photographing color palettes in the wild, tasting wine, or being closely supervised by her dog, Chicken.
