Chance Ramirez

Chance Ramirez (she/they) is an art therapist and ceramic sculptor living and working in Austin, TX. Originally from rural southwest Texas, Chance grew up playing in the dirt and getting lost in the beauty of nature. She integrates themes of repetition, personal narrative, history, and embodied awareness both in their counseling work and studio practice.

Chance attempts to revel in the tactile experience of clay. They work intuitively to hand build sculptures and vessels. Her process is meditative and expressive, using the clay body to relay her embodied experience to the observer.
