Clara Judge

I have an eye for all things whimsical, creepy, and cute. My favorite things that I have been working on lately are animals, but when creating I don't look at photos-making them appear slightly off and interchangeable in the eyes of the beholder. When I am making my work I seak to invoke joy or a smile from the viewer in the moment. It brings me immense happiness and mystery to think about my work in the future after I am long gone- continuing to bring people joy or baffling them into thinking it may be a cursed object.
I throw most of my work on the wheel and alter, manipulate, and handbuild off of the thrown forms to create mystical and bewildering objects. Taking time and precise attention to detail on each individual piece making them all one of a kind and unique.
