Gargi Sharma

Hello!
I’m Gargi, a ceramic artist originally from India and currently based in Austin, Texas. I started out studying architecture and eventually wandered into ceramic and glass design.

My ceramic practice is an act of collecting memories from the fragments of daily life. Using handbuilding techniques, I reconstruct these memories into familiar forms that carry the passage of time through surfaces replicating rust, weathering, and corrosion.
