Third Moon Mud

I make functional ceramics that don’t take themselves too seriously.

My work includes slipcast pipes and planters shaped like vintage cars, snails, slugs, and roller skates, along with small thrown and slab built planters, bud vases, and sculpted cats. Most recently, I’ve been focused on plates and dishes with sayings I call “Plateitutes”, short phrases that are encouraging, defiant, funny, tender or just blunt.

Some are soft: you are enough, good things are coming.
Some are frank: keep f****** going, f*** it.
All of them are meant to live in your daily space as objects you can use.

I’m drawn to everyday ceramics that feel human. Pieces that are functional, a little opinionated, and not overly precious. Things that hold plants, flowers, jewelry, snacks, or reminders.

Each piece is handmade in small batches, with natural variations that reflect the process.
