Jennifer Kallas

My ceramic work is inspired by the philosophy that beauty lies in simplicity. Currently, the primary focus of my work lies in decorative vessels, commonly called ‘weedpots’. These vases focus on form rather than function, and are not designed to hold water, rather they hold a single dried stem.

Each piece is a contemplation in clay, an exploration of curves, textures, and the interplay of light and shadow.
