Rylie Gately

New England raised now Central Texas artist making and teaching around the Hill Country. Rylie Gately has received a bachelors in the study of art therapy and believes this is at the root of her practice. Rylie examines many relationships between what is seen and unseen in the cycles of life through her work. Taping into stories and folklore from her childhood to source images that provoke narratives of curiosity and whimsy. She finds deep purpose in collaborating with the community between labor intensive atmospheric firings and a classroom environment.
