Sarah Cozzetto

I’m an Austin-based functional potter working from my garage studio. I graduated from Southwestern University in 2009 and have been working in clay ever since, developing my practice in both Texas and then in California before returning home in 2020.

My ceramics are wheel-thrown and made for everyday use, shaped by an ongoing interest in the space where functional and decorative forms meet. I explore surface design through underglaze painting and through carved detail, finding as much joy in the quiet rhythm of the decorative process as in the finished piece itself.
